Ms. Gannon's background includes five years of pharmaceutical research on antimicrobials, and five years as a solo Intellectual Property law practitioner. This experience provides her with unique insight into the challenges associated with turning ideas into viable products, and with successfully operating a business.
Clients counseled by Ms. Gannon range from first-time "garage inventors" to multi-million dollar corporations with substantial intellectual property portfolios. The technologies she has handled are likewise varied, including medical devices, biologicals, construction materials, textiles, alternative power systems, and various chemical compositions. Her practice focuses on patent-related services including patentability opinions, preparation and prosecution of patent applications, validity and infringement opinions, drafting agreements, and the enforcement of patent rights.
Ms. Gannon received her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from California State University at Long Beach in 1995. She graduated from the Golden Gate University of Law in San Francisco, California in 2002. She is licensed to practice law in California, North Carolina, and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
