Mr. Lester has practiced in the areas of technology-related litigation and intellectual property for over 18 years and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He has experience litigating patent disputes involving textiles (yarns, fabrics, and garments), high speed machinery (sorter/conveyors, knitting machines), industrial products (dye tubes, crash sensors), electronics (telephone switching devices, DSL enclosures), chemicals (ruminant feed supplements, detergent dispensers), research devices (free electron laser, microwave gun), household goods (smoker/grill), and furniture (dinette cushions, headboards, sofas).

In 1992, Mr. Lester was among the first group of mediators certified by the Supreme Court of North Carolina to perform mediations of civil cases in the Superior Courts of North Carolina. He received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from M.I.T. in 1979 and his law degree from Duke University in 1982.
